Corporate volunteeringWe offer companies and public offices the chance to gain a direct insight into hardship and poverty by joining in themselves.
Who it is for
Individuals, teams or whole companies can simply help out for a day and thereby do a day of social work. A taster day provides real experience of practical social work.
What you do
- Sorting food, packing bags, carrying crates.
- Welcoming people – with dignity and friendliness.
- Translating, if you speak one of the languages we need.
- Helping with intake on Monday or with the distribution on Tuesday.
When
Intake Mondays 08.30 – 16.30, distribution Tuesdays 11.00 – 16.45. Please arrange dates in advance so we can put you to good use.
What you take away
Poverty in Switzerland is mostly invisible. Anyone who has spent a Tuesday at Birsstrasse sees it – and the people behind it. In our experience that changes more than any presentation.
